[21 JCTC] Music Videos

Saturday, September 22 @ 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM

Never Gets Old (0:02:37) – Set with the backdrop of NYC, on location in downtown Jersey City, rappers/songwriters J.I Hudson and Jay Hollin perform their original “Never Gets Old.”

Broken Lullaby (0:02:55) – A solitary musical note desperately searches for his partner to fix their song.

The Emoji Song (0:03:27) – Is the modern man overdoing it with the emojis? Actor/singer/songwriter Ben Rauch would argue a definitive YES! “THE EMOJI SONG,” is a cautionary, comedic music video exploring the dangers of today’s relationships that can be both created and destroyed over the phone. Rauch reminds us that emojis have their place in a budding romance – but when they take over the entire relationship – you’re bound to end up, as he did – stuck single with nothing to show for it but a sad face (not unlike the tearful emoji that ubiquitously signals our pain over text).

Hannah, Are You Out There? (0:03:48) – Will the Architect of Time arrange it so these two meet again?

Waterfalls (0:03:50) – “Cinderella’s had enough” – “Waterfalls” is a creative rally cry to break free. Artist Aida Brandes utilizes heavy hip-hop beats with Middle Eastern and African sounds.

Music at Midnight (0:04:00) – At the crossroads in life, a man struggles to understand love. With a wife at home and a beautiful woman sitting next to him at the bar, he makes choices that may inevitably hurt the ones he thinks he loves.

Ride a Wave (0:04:19) – Tommy Homonym invades a subplot from “The Little Shop of Horrors” in George Wada’s eccentric black-and-white musical adventure.

Sober (0:04:27) – This music video and song is about not enabling an addict.

Two Roses (0:04:35) – A young woman is torn between her boyfriend and a new lover. Through the power of mambo, her romance with her boyfriend is rekindled.

Achel (0:04:48) – Song Title : Achel (In Nepali Langauge), Singer : Ram Krishna Dhakal, Lyrics : Krishu Chetri, Music : Himal Sagar, Cinematographer : Shambhu Moktan, Editor : Prabin Shrestha, Actor : Krishu Chhetri and Khadag B Pulami (Bicky Pulami), Director : Khadag B Pulami (Bicky Pulami)

GOD CAME ‘ROUND (0:05:00) – Down on his luck flower seller Sandeep (played by Deep Roy) pines to make a connection with the girl of his dreams.

PSYRUS – Hitcher (0:06:25) – The video is pure satire, full of hidden signs and colorful visuals. It depicts President Trump as a puppet, being controlled by Russian computer hackers, as well as various Russian stereotypes (vodka, bears, balalaika, Russian dancers, and shots of modern politics).

Vianey (0:55:00) – “Vianey” is a intensely personal and lyrical documentary portrait about the life and hardships of the New Jersey and Bronx based underground hip-hop artist Vianey Otero, also known by the stage name Trap Sade.
