[54 SPU 1 Pope] Why They Kill and Anticipation

Sunday, September 23 @ 4:00 PM - 5:30 PM

Anticipation (0:06:22) – ANTICIPATION gives the viewer a window into the daily life of a college student, as he consumes and is consumed by mediated images, food-less food, medication, and dark content.

Why They Kill (0:56:592) – A feature-length documentary based on the book by Pulitzer Prize-winning author, Richard Rhodes, which examines violent behavior in the context of the Violentization Theory developed by the acclaimed criminologist and professor at Seton Hall University, Lonnie Athens. The theory explains how violent criminals develop, how violent communities are created and transformed, and how violent criminal acts are committed through a four stage process including brutalization, belligerency, violent performances, and virulency.
